Crystal Peterson | Divine Mercy House Resident Director

Crystal joined the Divine Mercy House team in early 2013 with a vast amount of experience serving adults with developmental disabilities. In fact, Crystal started her own non-profit “Social Graces” which advocates and supports the full inclusion, independence and employment of adults with developmental disabilities through mentorship, simulated job training and work related education. Crystal brings with her immeasurable patience, faith and understanding. She is the day-to-day role model, counselor, advocate, and confidant to our residents in the home. Crystal has one college age son who is the light of her life.

Nereida (Nellie) Aviles | Divine Mercy House Assistant Director

Nellie retired from Mortgage Banking. Born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico she speaks Spanish. She has two grown sons and has been married to the love of her life Greg for over 48 years. Having lived in Illinois most of her life she went to Joliet Junior College, earning an associates degree. She has coached youth bowling for about 30 years. She is happy to be near her grandchildren and 2 year old great grandson. She has a Boston Terrier named Chiquita and a black stray cat name CJ. She enjoys helping the women learn how to budget their money and keep a clean home. She has belonged to St. Josephs Parrish for over 24 years and she and her husband are active in several ministries. She loves the warmth and dedication to our Lord that this Parrish provides,

Aileen Miller-Jenkins | Divine Mercy House Weekend Staff

Aileen is a full time college professor and long time teacher with previous experience volunteering at a maternity home in Maryland. Aileen has her Master’s Degree in Science and undergrad in Biology which is instrumental when helping the residents with their homework and studies. Aileen is a master organizer, very creative, and has a very calming nature which brings an aura of peace to the home.

Jacquana Hughes | Divine Mercy House Weekend Staff

Jacquana Hughes has worked at Divine Mercy House since January,
2015. She is a native of Jacksonville, Fl., a University of Central Florida graduate and a dedicated worker at Youth Crisis Center, (Transitional Living Program). Jacquana also is a volunteer for The Annie Ruth Foundation and a proud member of Abyssinia Baptist Church as a Youth Counselor. Her future goal is to go further in her career goals of counseling and establishing a foundation in serving and helping the community. Her strength comes from her heavenly Father, and this verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)

Michael Kelley | Divine Mercy Thrift Store Manager

Michael has worked in the retail industry for many years and has gained experience in every aspect of managing a store, such as working the sales floor and overseeing employees. Michael has worked with budgeting and has led team building meetings, which has led to successful management. He moved to the greater Jacksonville area in 2000 with his wife of 20 plus years and two daughters. He has three grandchildren that keep him busy with most of his spare time and he also enjoys working with computers and playing the guitar.

Nicholas Folglesong | Divine Mercy Thrift Store

Nick was born in Jacksonville, Fl. He has many pets such as dogs, cats, rats, turtles, and even sugar gliders. When he is not at the Thrift Store Register he likes to Bicycle, play video games, visit zoos and to drive. He also is pursuing a Bachelors Degree at FSCJ.
